Soccer on both Saturday and Sunday were sort of bad. We got trounced 6-0 on Saturday and while we deserved to lose it was definitely not by that margin. Somehow things just didn't work out haha. It could be a lack of match fitness, since we have not played together since two weeks before reading week, which was ages ago. Still, no excuses! Hopefully we'll be able to arrange a game this coming Saturday and actually win the game before Si Hien goes back to New York!
Sunday's game with Raffles Hall against Pasir Panjang CC (or something along the lines of that) was somewhat better. I got fouled a couple of times and sustained more scratches haha. Now my knees and shin look so chui. Still have yet to open my account for RH though. Gotta work on those first touches more man! In any case, the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Not too shabby!
Anyway I've moved in to Raffles Hall! I'm not quite sure what to expect and how busy I'll be with hall life, but let's see how it goes for this semester yup! Went down to clean up my room with Weiquan on Saturday morning (before our match), and sadly we didn't get a nice room location. It's sort of right after the comm hall, so almost everyone will have to pass by our room when they go to pretty much any other place from the comm hall. Even our window faces another block just up a small hill, so it feels like there isn't much privacy. In addition, since our room is on the first floor, the tiles aren't really proper tiles haha they're just the same red tiles as the ones along the corridor and in the comm hall. And the disadvantage about such tiles is that no matter how you wipe them, they feel dusty and dirty and sticky still. We swept the floor once and mopped it twice on Saturday but when my parents came in on Sunday to help me move the rest of my belongings and also see my room, they were like "how come the floor is so dirty?" Lol flooring is FAIL.
Nonetheless, I find my room cozy enough! Haha hall life is indeed quite happening. Had block initiation last night, where we played some games, got to know some of our neighbours and got splashed with water. This was followed by an Ice Cream Party tonight, which I was keen to go but yet I couldn't find any enthusiasm when the games and stuff began. Maybe I need more sleep XD
Anyway today was supposed to be a slack day since we only did an introductory lecture for our Biochemistry module, while labs hasn't yet begun for that module so the lecture was pretty much the only lesson we had that day. Went for a scholarship tea session in the afternoon and because of that I didn't manage to save my laundry before the rain haha. Apparently my shirt flew off the bar and landed on the floor when it rained and it got little twigs and branches stuck to it. Sad.
