Went for some... prayer/ritual thingy on Sunday. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. In any case, while my Army ID Tag states that I'm a Taoist, I must admit that I'm not a very religious person, but I do respect religion. My (paternal) relatives are really religious though, so there was no way I could avoid going on Sunday even though there were tons to study for Geog (aka my elective module - Place, Environment and Society), and I was absolutely hopeless at Physical Geography. Thankfully, my father was able to negotiate with them and I came back by early afternoon.
I thought about lots of stuff while participating. My mind simply just wandered about amidst all that incense smoke. I thought about academic stuff, past present and future of my Uni life, things I wanted to do during the upcoming short term break, about people I missed. Hmmm. Maybe that's the true purpose of religion - to get you to reflect on things and think of how to be a better person (: Anyway, somehow I studied harder for Geog on the day prior to the paper than all my other papers. Haha maybe it's because in the period leading up to the exams I had completely neglected the module! As for the paper itself... I honestly don't know. I think I do have valid points in my essays, but my essays are simply too short. I took quite a lot of time to think of the points that I didn't have sufficient time to write in greater detail nor did I have the time to properly conclude some of my essays. Plus, I don't really have that many points to begin with in the first place. Oh well >.> But in any case, it's over! Shall not brood over it. Before the world ends on 22nd December, I'm gonna enjoy myself thoroughly and relax my tired mind =p And enjoy I did, after my paper yesterday. Went down with BK to join all the others who were already at Sentosa, enjoying their third day of freedom. Haha he biked to school though, and he had an extra helmet, so... let's just say it was my first time riding pillion on a bike XD It was pretty exciting to be honest. I thought it'll feel weird to wrap my arms around his waist so I merely held his shoulders haha. Expressway was even more thrilling! Haha it feels great to have the wind buffeting you. The right turn he made while exiting the expressway was a little scary though, because I was carrying our bags which I had slung to the right side, and the resultant CG made me slide off my seat while he turned, so I had to lean left even though that was the unnatural thing to do when he's turning right =p Sentosa was fun. I was seriously tired though, due to a combination of factors, so I didn't really run about as much as I wanted to during the games. We played plenty of Captain's Ball, then went to soak in the water a little, dunking Nicholas along the way, then tried (and failed spectacularly) to dunk Yong Bing when he arrived. Someone also came up with the idea of a competition to bury two people, and Deren and I were somehow picked to be buried. It actually feels really comfortable to be buried in sand. It's like, free spa treatment =p Haha but as they piled on more sand I guessed my FEV decreased a little (look, I still remember my Physio stuff! Ahaha) Later in the evening, we went to PS to have our dinner, but we were too early for our 7pm booking, so we went to the arcade first to shoot hoops and play Daytona. Anyway, dinner was Cafe Cartel, and I have the St. Louis Pork Ribs yum yum. Dinner was interrupted because some of them wanted to catch Aaron Kwok in the flesh haha. I guess I sort of wanted to take a look too, but in the end Pork Ribs there was able to convince me otherwise ;o We celebrated Deren's birthday with a cake designed by Alfred. Haha the look of surprise on his face. Priceless. It was sort of funny how we were writing on his card where he could see us ;o
