Yet another belated update of my blog ;o

Taking yet another break from my study to do this update... been taking lots of breaks, but it's really boring starting at bones and muscles and bronchioles and whatnot. I feel insecure just reading notes, but memorisation seems excessive for MCQs, and while I want to practise there isn't anything like a TYS this time round to save me D:

Back to my updates though, on a somewhat more cheerful note. Went for the NUS Pharmaceutical Society's Annual General Meeting (and elections) on the 12th. There were only six year ones, and the total attendance wasn't too impressive either. In fact, we barely had enough to start the meeting. It was interesting reading up the various reports from the various committees, but I'm still not sure of how much I want to commit and what I want to commit to, so no PD-ish stuff for me at the moment. Not looking forward to getting my entire semester break being taken up by Rag, for instance =x

Went for AH Dinner and Dance in the evening. It was at Shangri-La Hotel (not the Sentosa one, duh) and while I was formally dressed which was decent enough for the theme of Red Carpet Nite, it wasn't quite as flamboyant as some people wore. CEO came in his own version of Detriot Metal City's Krauser, not very unlike what that one guy wore to Singapore Idol. The table with the Pre-Regs and Senior Pharmacists had a classical, Victorian theme. Mmmm. Anyway, I thought some performances were rather dull, but certainly there were enough better performances, fun and games to keep the night entertaining.

Last friday was the last day before recess week, and after a quick celebration for Shermaine after PPDA lecture, we went for dinner at Tiong Bahru Plaza, Gareth and Zhi Xue giving us all a lift in their very similar looking cars. We had Jap food, and my Unagi Ramen was exceptionally yummy (yay!), and after that we went to get yoghurt and gelato at the basement. We left for Zouk after that for the Quintessential Inter-Faculty Bash (featuring Medicine, Duke-NUS Graduate School, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy. Granted, Pharmacy isn't a faculty, but that is a minor technicality that everyone overlooks deliberately). Some crazy driving from Zhi Xue stalled the car (an Auto car stalling, geez), and finally we got to Zouk. The event was alright, if not slightly boring, and I don't think it's because I'm hard to please. Pharmacy didn't win anything except maybe for Edrei's teeth whitening package courtesy of the lucky draw, but we were awesome nonetheless, pageant, dance, Project Superstar and all. Great work to all the participants there (:

We forgot to shake the poms-poms we got to support the dancers, and also missed the moment to give them the flowers we bought while they were on-stage. All we managed was to wave light sticks while Roman was singing =p

Anyway, we left rather early, intending to have supper, but no one knew any supper places in the vicinity, so we ended up having Mac at Tiong Bahru. By a stroke of luck, we left just in time to catch the last train home (:

Went for a Geography Field Trip to the Boat Quay area on Saturday morning. Lots of interesting tidbits of information about the landscape and how it relates to geography, including how Fengshui has played a role in shaping the landscape and how Fengshui is a form of Geographical Imagination. Abstract stuff (:

Watched Sky of Love that afternoon.*sobs* Typical touching tear-jerker (:

Went to celebrate Shermaine's birthday on Monday. We were supposed to do 19 random things that day, some of which were already planned by her so it wasn't really random per se (but her plans were still rather random haha... confused yet?). First we went to catch Elmos and Cookie Monsters and Elmo fishes and Big Bird and bishes (Big Bird fishes), then we distributed them, and then we had Carl's Junior, before I left haha. Pictures on Facebook, once again!

Made Guacamole sauce and Avocado juice that evening. The Avocado juice was really too thick of my liking, but the Guacamole sauce tastes good with Tortilla Chips. Yummy (:

Played badminton in the morning on Tuesday, before doing our Pharmacy Practice project on MIMS and a Patient Information Leaflet for Acarbose. That pretty much took up the entire day, and sad to say we didn't mug together at all =p

The next few days since then has been mugging, sleeping, and relaxing, sadly in rather equal proportions though I should be mugging a lot more. Which leads me back to my opening statement in this blog update: it's really boring staring all all these stuff :/

Alright, this took long enough. Shall go back to my mugging again ):
