Played soccer against a Myanmar team last Saturday. To be succinct... The field was rather small, our opponents were rather rough, I scored my sixth goal in as many games, Shi Xian played well and almost got a hat-trick, the referee didn't perform well, we lost 5-3 despite our efforts.
Had my dental surgery on Wednesday to remove both the upper and lower wisdom teeth on the left. While I had my reasons (or excuses, if you prefer calling it that) for not having the procedure done during NS, I do feel a little silly for doing it now, but thankfully it's at least Medisavable. The loss of physical cash is always that much more painful than the loss of virtual cash. On Tuesday, I took the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal at Carl's Junior with CK, Zirui and Hong Yi, before I had to start eating soft food post-surgery. Anyway I went to play Left 4 Dead with them at Elias Mall after we had lunch. Guess we really need to work on our teamwork in the game though =p In any case, going back on topic, the dental procedure went well I guess. I did get sick of porridge pretty quickly, and by Thursday night I was okay with Kway Tiao Soup already, and by Friday I was eating Nasi Lemak at Chong Pang =p Friday evening was another of those quiet, simple but nice outings. We lounged around Novena Square not knowing what to eat, and travelled up to Yishun before strolling to Chong Pang to have Nasi Lemak. As for the events of yesterday, I feel like I wasted two hours of my life. We initally had a match scheduled to take place at Yishun Ring Road, but when we reached the place we were informed that the field was waterlogged due to the rain earlier in the day and we were not allowed to use the premises. The match was therefore cancelled, and we all made our way home. Absolute. Waste. Of. Time. Period. Went to Xue Cong's place in the evening for his party. His 21st party so to speak but, technically speaking he's not going to be 21 for about a week, so let's just call it his party =p Had another nice evening again today, watching TV (there was this movie called Catch That Kid. The ending was quite heartwarming.), observing how to cook black pepper spaghetti, and watching TV some more (:
