I'm kinda behind things in terms of updating my blog =p
Let's see... since the Malaysia trip, I: - Had some awesome Ba Kut Teh with Ray, Kailing, Sophia and Wilson at some place near Tiong Bahru after work on Friday. I believe it was the 22nd of the month - Had severe inflammation of my gums at the wisdom tooth area, which didn't get better with serratiopeptidase (stupid enzyme). It got worse, and I had body aches and a very bad throat. Eventually I had to see a doctor, who suspected an infection and gave me some antibiotics. Interestingly, because of my recent travel to Malaysia and my sore throat, they sent me up to the "Fever Clinic" at the Polyclinic. Anyway, I felt what really helped me get better wasn't any of the meds I was given, it was my self-medication of Diclofenac which really helped. - Played another field match at Anderson Sec last Sat, where we were soundly beaten with a score of 5-1. It didn't help that quite a number of our first team regulars were missing, we had only one substitute, I was unwell (body aches and all), and we had no goalkeeper. This last reason was I believe the single most important factor that led to our loss. Of course, our opponents were stronger than us in the first place, even if we had negated these factors. Hence, the scoreline. - Got a treat to lunch from Gerry for Yu Heng and I. We had a good chat about our thoughts for our "attachment" so far, and discussed a little about life in Uni and also life after Uni. Our journey is only starting, and definitely I feel glad that I had the opportunity to see the profession before embarking on my studies (: - Yu Heng finished his last day of work at AH on Friday. We went around taking photographs randomly with everyone. It was kinda weird taking all the photos with him since I was still going to carry on working for about half a month, but I guess it beats having to repeat it all when I do leave a few weeks later =p - Played another field match yesterday, this time at Tanglin Sec (near Clementi). Our opponents this time were supposedly less tough than last week's opposition, and I was well already. However, this time aside from missing several of our first team regulars, we don't even have enough to fill up all the starting slots, and had to play the entire game a man down i.e. 10 vs. 11. In addition, we still lacked a goalkeeper. Seriously. We did play well, but still lost by a 3-0 margin. - Went to Hazeline's 21st birthday party after my soccer match yesterday. I didn't know most of the people there of course, but I didn't really need to, because I had fun anyway. The food was good, the drink was good even though it looked funny (kind of like some greenish iron (II) precipitate), and slacking in the room was fun. In any case, the tiny mahjong set was awesome, though I can never seem to ever remember how to play mahjong for longer than one outing =p
