Wednesday is fast food day =p
Well not really, but I like to have Mac on Wednesday since my lunch had to last me till 8-ish, due to my tuition session right after work. And Mac gives me fullness to last. In any case, apparently everyone felt like having fast food too, and incredibly ten of us had Mac for lunch =p

About six of us arrived there first, but half of the seats were gone as renovation works were taking place. We decided to split up to occupy two different sets of tables, and Sophia sat down at one of these sets of tables to wait for the others to come while the rest of us went to order first. I didn't notice it then, but a man and his two friends who had just bought their food could not find any seats, and he was outraged at the fact that Sophia was sitting alone at a table for six. In his words, the other people in our group might be on their way here, but he was already here and therefore had the right to the seats. He then approached the restaurant staff and demanded to know why people were reserving seats when he was deprived of seats.

And I am incredibly ticked off. I can understand his anguish if we had simply "choped" the seats by placing our belongings there, but in my opinion, having a person to sit there while the rest of us ordered and while waiting for a few other friends to arrive was perfectly justified. Your group of three people simply annot bother to find seats before ordering food, and yet you have the audacity to demand to take over our seats? No, I don't think so, your royal rotundness. Something about the rudeness with which you approached us also speaks volumes about your manners, or lack thereof. You could have talked nicely and suggested a sharing of seats, but by sitting down and squeezing that tubby figure into the seat before being joined by your friends, to forcibly take over our seats, you have worsened my opinion of you. And approaching the Mac staff to express your outrage is only putting the staff in a spot, pudge.

We did give the seats to them without making a big fuss, but the outcome was that the three of them enjoyed a set of tables for six, which we got to first mind you, while six of us ended sharing a set of tables for four.

Call me petty for blogging to rant about this if you like, but I am damn certain that we were not in the wrong. And you sir, some useful advice not related to manners here. People with a body mass that resembles a baby whale more than a human being generally should be avoiding fast food. Especially when one looks likely to have a deep vein thrombosis just by sitting down long enough to finish an extra value meal. Better watch yourself before I end up having to pack your anticoagulation meds, dear sir.
