Something wonderful happened on Thursday, something dreadful occurred on Friday. The latter incident was my grandfather's brother passing away. The last time I actually saw him was during Chinese New Year, and he did look pretty frail then, but was nonetheless his usual cheerful self. You'll be missed, cek gong. Rest in peace (:

Went for dinner at Marina Bay's MOF yesterday, and the seats at which we were initially, um, seated, were rather un-strategically placed. It was near the door leading to the outdoor dining area, and therefore as the waiters and waitresses walked to and fro they kept knocking into our table. We got a change of seats at our request, and they promptly proceeded to forget our order. Only after reminding them about our order twice (no offence to the non-Chinese waiter, but had no idea what we were talking about, nor do we know what he was trying to say) did the food come, and only after about half an hour after our initial order. Yes, I can be quite particular about certain things, and that includes service >=(

Anyway, met up with Ash and Zuo Yi later and after supper at Coffee Club we got to play with his Nintendo Wii! We took turns to absolutely slaughter Ashvin at tennis, before he found his niche game by creaming me at boxing. Baseball was more evenly matched, with Zuo Yi beating Ashvin once again, albeit by a less flattering scoreline, and me narrowly edging out Liting heh.

Nintendo is seriously recession proof, for the Nintendo DSi has just sold 2 million units in Japan, in exactly 144 days since its launch. That's a staggering 14k units per day. And that's just Japan.
