Advice to all readers (well, if any): If you are planning to go out on Friday evening, especially if you are going to catch a movie, do make bookings in advance, or go out early =p.
I might sound like Captain Obvious here, but hey we decided to try our luck on Friday... and let's just say there was a lot of milling around. Sophia, Regina and I met up with Ray and Kailing at Plaza Singapura initially, but tickets to every single movie was selling out fast, with only the midnight slots still available. Yeah, even tickets to obscure movies that I've not heard of, though these days every movie seems obscure to me, having not watched a single movie since like, Iron Man or something. But that's beside the point. Anyway, each restaurant had its own long queue, and the situation wasn't much better at Cathay. With no place to eat and no movie to watch, we hopped into Ray's car to... well we were pretty much undecided as to where to go. After some aimless driving around we ended up at Vivo's Marche... which had its own long queue. Eventually we did manage to get a seat at slightly past 9pm, and promptly ordered a divine spread of dishes which we rather obviously could not finish, but ordered anyway (: Anyway, Prasad and I joined Weiquan's friends for RHB-NTU's Goal for Fund soccer competition event at Fico Sports Hub on Saturday morning. We were kinda out of our league though, beaten in each of our group games and therefore had no part to play in the main event which was held today at Ngee Ann City. We did play well on certain occasions though, and scored two goals even after being three goals down in our second match, nearly nicking a point. In the end though, we were just not good enough (yet), and we lost not due to a lack of trying (: By the way... anyone wants to buy a ticket to Zouk for, say, $10?? *winks* =p
