Random comment of the day to myself: You know you are really into your job at the Pharmacy when you see some tablets on your friend's desk, and can immediately ask why your friend has amoxicillin without even looking at the label or even taking a closer look =p
Last Thursday was the Pharmacy's (well, the department) Christmas Party. It was organised by the pre-regs, which is what I'll be in a few years' time haha. Anyway, it was a cozy and fun little affair for us all. It felt somewhat awkward at times since I still haven't really spoken to most of the people there, but it was really enjoyable nonetheless. There was plenty of singing, and who said pharmacists are pharmacists 'cuz they are not singers? Haha everyone who performed, performed well, including Aunty May Lee's solo.
I got a personalised gingerbread man! Haha it reminds me of the gingerbread man in Shrek. Pictures when I'm in a less lazy mood/when I'm not so tired.
Saturday was my joint birthday celebration with Ashvin. Guess it was extra special because my next birthday will be spent without two of my best friends, Ashvin and Zuo Yi. K stop touching wood, it's just that they'll be going abroad for their studies and I'll still be bumbling about as I always do. My class, or what's left of it haha, and my fellow specs came for my side, with the scouts being the "common" group between the two of us. The black and white theme worked out pretty fine, though I'm still not convinced black napkins are viable, and though there were people like Zhang Sheng who turned up in a bright red tee in blatant disregard of the theme haha =p
It was the usual bbq stuff otherwise. Thanks to the scouts and my fellow specs and my classmates for all the cooking and help!

Had dinner at Zuo Yi's place yesterday, with Zuo Yi as the chef! Guess we won't need to worry that he'll starve in the US, 'cuz his culinary skills are great! There was pasta, lamb, chicken, and awesome POTATO. Gawd I loved that POH-TAY-TOE. The dessert was kinda sinful, but hey, I'm underweight so it's sinful to not indulge. Good stuff. After the divine meal was the less than divine performance of Liverpool heh. Well in actual fact both Arsenal and Liverpool did play alright and the match wasn't boring. Van Persie's goal and Keane's goal were equally sublime, so I guess I'm just not happy that Liverpool couldn't get three points and pull clear at the top of the table ;o
