Yesterday was supposed to be an off day for all of us, but unfortunately for us eight Alpha specs, all personnel ORD-ing from now till December had to attend a function at the battalion auditorium at 1pm. The function started off with a lengthy briefing about ORD matters, such as ICTs, IPPT, etc. It felt a little useless because the information were all obtainable via the NS Portal, which I've already accessed and completed the ORD Module, but I suppose this was their way to ensure that the information reaches us. Following that was the presentation of the 30 SCE commemorative coins by our Commanding Officer.

After the function ended, I went to Jurong Point with William, Wee Hung and Cheok. The ever optimistic William joked that we got to go on an early nights out =p
We went to the arcade. I'm normally not an arcade person, but I just tagged along and ended up helping Cheok with one button on the DDR machine (which we failed miserably at in any case), shooting hoops at whatever you call that street basketball machine, and playing Silent Hill, which I also somewhat failed at. Apparently being accurate with a real life pistol doesn't mean you'll be good with an arcade pistol game =p

And I went out for a stroll earlier - those long strolls I take every once in a while, just me and my music. They relax me somehow. Whenever I pass some male JC student I can't help but think "hey it'll be your turn soon!" heh.

A few more hours to my flight! No more ending my blog post with "booking in soon" heh. It's checking in this time ;o
