COS Duty meant that I spent Thursday, which was Labour Day, in camp. For some reason I found it quite comfortable being in camp. Maybe it was because it was really peaceful and tranquil, particularly the scene that greets me when I open the office window to peer at the parade square. The place was still save for a slight breeze blowing leaves across the surface of the parade square (darn, that means more area cleaning to be done when everyone is back in camp heh), and somehow the scene made me feel at ease and relaxed for some obscure reason. In any case, I spent close to the entire day playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney 3: Trials and Tribulations on my Nintendo DS. Naturally I completed the fifth and final case of the game ;o
It was a really good case which ties up the trilogy of Phoenix Wright games nicely, linking up Mia Fey's past, and in fact the past history of the entire Fey clan for that matter. The story-writing was brilliant, and at the end of it all I was left feeling like how one would feel after the final episode of a really good drama serial was over. i felt kinda empty, but impressed by how everything turned out in the story. Good game, literally. It was more like an interactive story than a game, but oh well. Highly recommended for anyone with a Nintendo DS, or anyone intending on getting one for that matter. Yes, that probably goes out to you as well, Hong Yi. Looking forward to your purchase of a DS haha. ![]() Booked out on Friday for company block... off. Yeah, it was an off, not a leave heh. Met up with a friend of mine to go to East Coast. It was... heartwarming? Enjoyable? Gratifying? Cozy? Uplifting? I can't really find an apt word to describe how I felt. In any case, I had a good chat with you, and I Went to my platoon's chalet yesterday evening, where we celebrated Chee How's birthday. Plenty of birthdays on this day. Happy birthday to Zuo Yi too! One more year to your 21st huh. Anyway, most of the platoon turned up, and Jorge/George/Yong Ming/Liang was there together with Benson, my previous Platoon Commander, who was sporting a cute new hairstyle. We took a break from the BBQ to sing the birthday song and enjoy the cake, by taking several slices and smashing them on Chee How's face. Sadly, all I did was hold on to an arm of his, and he had to go after me immediately after everyone let go ;o Anyway, as the activity died down and people left while others went upstairs to play Kenneth's Playstation, Joon Hong, Benson, and several others stayed behind to drink and talk. Spoke quite a bit about the platoon, mostly about our absent leader-who-was-one-level-up-from-a-section- commander, if you get my drift. We did get quite a lot of drinks, courtesy of Wui Boon and Joon Hong, and Chee How got really drunk after a while, unfortunately. That's when we all went upstairs, where we talked some more. We talked about lots of stuff, all army related of course, and once again I got to know my men better. I also got to know Joon Hong better. Guess my Winamp player's coordinating with me. It's playing a song that somewhat fits in with my emotions heh. Koji Wada and Maeda Ai's Haruka Na Okurimono. Quite a beautiful song really.
