*tired*

Booked out today, booking in later today T_T

It's funny how I always have nothing to do on weekends when I'm free, and yet when I'm doing guard duty, such as yesterday, people ask me out for soccer, etc =p
Guard duty was pretty shiong despite it being a Saturday, due to 6 Division having an Exercise in our camp. Both military and civilian vehicles streamed in and out of the camp all day long, and since the gate had to be closed when not in use on weekends, we had to open the gate frequently. Often, we would open the gate for a vehicle to pass, close the gate, and immediately after another vehicle arrives. Security was also high, and we were instructed to get all incoming vehicles to go for a vehicle security check, and anyone who did not have a security pass had to get one from the office. The latter instruction led to bus drivers and construction workers telling us off =/

Anyway, I shuttled between Jurong Camp and Seletar Camp several times during the week. Tuesday morning, to stand down and hand over stand-by duty to Delta Company; Tuesday night, for the conduct of the SOC test on Wednesday morning; as well as Friday, to search for William's misplaced and very elusive map (in short, we lost a map). It was pretty tiring to travel to and fro these two distant locations, so I guess that added to my fatigue level this week. There wasn't any nights off on Wednesday, but Jian Wen, Daniel, Ah Chua and I did have prata out at Jalan Kayu on Thursday so I guess that evens things out =)

But the key contributing factor to my fatigue is still those darned mosquitoes. Squadrons and squadrons of mosquitoes attacked me regardless of whether I was at Seletar Camp or Jurong Camp. The situation at Seletar got much better after we got some mosquito coils, but the mosquito coils proved almost completely useless back at Jurong.

Never mind, I shall be optimistic. This week shall be a better week ^^
