Ever heard a song and thought that, "hey, this song makes me feel like crying"? I think McFly's The Heart Never Lies sounds rather sad =/
Well that was random. In any case, yet another Exercise has been completed, gearing us up for the ultimate Exercise Bear in this coming week, after which we will be officially declared operational. This time, we deployed at a site with astonishingly thick vegetation and even thicker layers of rock on the ground. The night was spent pitifully chipping away at the hard ground with our entrenching tools and the pickaxes and shovels which we shared between the platoon. There was an ATP organised by Delta Coy on Friday for those who has failed, yours truly (unfortunately) included, the first ATP held about a month ago. I must say this live firing session was very... relaxing. There were relatively few participants, so once everyone had cleared the day shoot, we could laze around until the skies were dark which allowed for the night shoot to begin. The famous "ninja van" came often, and we raided it, purchasing chicken rice, drinks and other edibles to nibble on while we slacked. It was also a rather cool and windy afternoon, so it felt ultra comfortable to just sit at the ammo point and feel the wind in my face while sipping on a soft drink. Mmm. Met up with some S25 people yesterday for dinner. Yao Min, Qing Hui, Hong Yi, Wenyang and ZIrui turned up. Once again I was the only guy there to be in a shiong vocation. Ym was in Intelligence, Hy was the technician, Wy and Zr the clerks. *sigh* Anyway, we had dinner at Gluttons Bay @ the Esplanade, indulging in Char Kway Teow, fried sting ray, satay, carrot cake, bbq chicken wings and oyster omelette. Mmm. Then we went to CHIJMES to watch some soccer, but the only match playing was Chelsea v West Ham and it wasn't particularly exciting. We bought some beer and cocktails, but it was quite little considering the six of us. I think they weren't too pleased with us sitting there for that long given our measly purchases for the waiters kept pestering us to get more drinks heh. As people say, the customer's always right. * shrug* And soon it's time to book in for the 4 day 3 night no-sleep summary Exercise *nervous* Wish me luck. I'm definitely gonna hold out till Thursday man ;o
