And on Thursday, we were despatched to our various units, and 23 FE and 6 EP Specs went to Jurong Camp, yours truly included. Spent the new three days getting adjusted to unit life, and, specifically, life as a commander instead of a trainee. My PS and CSM seem pretty fearsome, but my PC seems like a really fun yet capable person. There was a spec named Wei An who was last course's best trainee, and as my predecessor he did provide me with some useful advice for life in 30SCE.

Thursday night was CO Evening, and the men from the various companies put up entertaining performances. Their efforts were commendable, their talent (or lack thereof) less so, but nonetheless they were fun to watch. Jorge and Sam were dragged up on stage to dance with the "sexy dancers", and they were complete opposites as Jorge proceeded to entertain the crowd with his moves whereas Sam was almost motionless ;o

After the event the men were all pretty high, and they gave Wei An a farewell "bash", using the toilet's water hose, shaving cream, prickly heat powder and camo cream to good effect. In the end all five of the new specs of Platoon 3 (me, Shawn Yeap, Yu Feng, Jian Wen and Wei Quan) as well as PS and PC were dragged into it =p

Oh well, early book in today because the men were punished for throwing too much out-rations away on Friday heh. Gotta prepare my stuff now as I prepare for a second week at 30SCE, which includes live firing tomorrow and a field camp subsequently.
