I just watched the final half and hour, aka the finale, of the National Day Parade on TV, albeit and encore telecast, and I can still recall the excitement of seeing the show for the first time during NE Show 1. Feel so glad to have been part of NDP heh, though I was just a lowly school liaison personnel and marshaller. It's an indescribable feeling. I think I'm gonna start having withdrawal symptoms due to lack of involvement in NDP, for that also means that training at Engineer Training Institute goes back to full swing, five-day-work-week style, with no midweek bookouts nor NDP preparations, which were very much welcome breaks from training. *sniff*
Went to Zuo Yi's house last night to catch the return of the English Premier League with him and Ashvin, and the games were all pretty exciting, with Newcastle scoring three over their manager's former club, Bolton Wanderers. Manchester City played with unrecognisable players since they pretty much had an all new team due to Eriksson's large amount of new signings, but played better than they did under Stuary Pearce last season. Middlesbrough did well, but succumbed to defeat at the hands of Blackburn and their new signing, Roque Santa Cruz; quite a good transfer, imo. But it was the Liverpool game after we returned from our short trip to Hong Kong Cafe to pick up some finger food and drinks which made me happy, for Liverpool played quite okay, and managed to win the game 2-1 despite Barry's late late penalty due to Carragher's silly handball, because Steven Gerrard conjured a moment of magic just minutes later to score an outrageously well struck ball into the top right corner. Well done Reds ;o Woke up late today, watched cartoons on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network before going to play badminton and have lunch at Katong Shopping Centre. Anyway... Booking in soon, with Exercise Transformer looming closer. I feel kinda nervous about it to be honest, despite the reassurance from 3SG Kah Meng. Oh well. Better to get it over and done with. Wish me luck, regardless of whether I'm gonna hold any leadership appointments for this exercise ;)
