Did guard duty for the first time at Nee Soon Camp on Tuesday night, and I must say it was rather fun, probably because we had a good Guard Comd and Guard 2IC. I did sentry duty from 9 to 11pm and 3am to 5am, and thankfully there was a portable radio to keep me company while I stood there almost motionlessly. Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder and other pop tunes really helped to make the 2 hour stand bearable heh. When I started my first shift, this dog tried to enter the sentry post, and when I chased it out it promptly went to lie down right in front of the sentry post... and it stayed there for 2 hours, probably keeping me company as well =p
As for the guard rest room, it comes equipped with a TV and a computer (with internet access!). As such, I wouldn't really mind doing guard duty again, as long as it's on a weekday ;o

Went to Marina Bay for our ground recce of the NDP area today, after which I went back to AHS to look-see-look-see around since the Scouts were having their handing-over parade today. Looking around the scouts den, talking about the scout standards and proficiency badges... kinda made me miss my scouting days =/

Anyway, booking in tonight again, since there's live firing tomorrow, for which I'll be one of the only few firing the Area Defence Munition (aka mother of all claymores).
