Thanks for everything through this period of time. You were my sword, you were my shield. We have gone through thick and thin together... but now it is time to say goodbye. Here's wishing you all the best!

And with that, I bid a fond farewell to my "wife" as I loaded her into the five-tonner assigned to us. Yep, yesterday was BMTC School 2's Graduation Parade, aka GP, although everyone prefers to call it by its old name, Passing Out Parade, aka POP.

It was a bittersweet feeling as we stood upon Tekong Parade Square, listening to the RO's speech. As we waited in the pouring rain, getting drenched while the parade commenced, I recalled the events of the past few weeks. Looking at BMT from the end is so much different from the start. The twenty-counts-of-twenty jumping jacks, rifles-over-head sessions, leopard crawl, grenade throws, SOC sessions... they have all culminated in what we are today. Training was tough, but now it all seems worth it.

Overall, I think I am quite satisfied with my performance in BMT. An SOC timing of 2:56min (when the passing is 6:30), Silver for IPPT, passed Field Camp and cleared the SIT Test, among others. However, upon reflection, one lesson I can draw from my experience is to be more outspoken and resilient. Guess that's my advice for all pre-enlistees hoping to go to Command School =)
