Well my week wasn't that bad after all. One of the main reasons was that the Bio S test was postponed as yesterday (Friday) was a half-day. The college wanted us to go down to support the Basketball Finals, and they booked five buses for that. In fact, the buses will each make more than one trip to ensure everyone who wants to go can get there. In contrast, we (we, as in most of the class) made our way down to Tampines Sports Hall to watch Badminton via public transport.
VJ lost a singles game and won a doubles game, and then Geraldine, Stacy and I had to cab back to school for Interact Club's Installation 2006 =) Overall, the Installation was fine, but while there were quite a number of our members this time round, there were very few guests, as compared to last year, when the number of our members were in the single-digits whereas there were tons of guests. Dr Oliver made a meaningful speech, Su-E made a farewell speech, Zhilin gave a Mathematics/Economics lesson by telling us about the club's finances, detailed to the very last cent, and Shanti and Susanto presented a nicely done powerpoint presentation, covering all the club's homegroup activities and club events in our term as the Exco. Then it was the official installation itself, and we handed our badges over to the incoming members of the Exco, followed by a rather interesting performance involving biscuit tins, pails, brooms and other assorted items. Then it all ended, and we mingled with one another and the guests whilst enjoying the refreshments. Oh, and gift-exhanging was aplenty; I received something from my "successor", Valerie, as well. It was a... erm, what do you call that, a soft toy? No no, not the teddy bear kind. It was a fluffy green and yellow Brazil ball. Heh cool. Anyway everything ended very early, and unfortunately many of them went to the Guitar Concert, so we didn't have dinner together. Lolquote [11:56] [11:56] [11:56] [11:57]
