We had CNY celebrations in school yesterday. Aside from the quiz and some parts of the fashion show, which made me yawn, some of the other perfomances were pretty good. No, I'm not referring to that one involving a certain GP tutor, no offense intended. The dance by the male dancers from Indian Cultural Society was funny and pretty cool. Wushu did well too, and the guy with the pole/rod/whatever was impressive to say the least. As for the combined, multi-racial item, it was pretty chaotic initially, but proved to be rather interesting. And Chris owned the drumming contest thingy towards the end of the concert :P
After the concert, we wanted to rush back to AHS, but Shuqi and Joy had to help the CT Council move chairs and tables into the hall, for the upcoming SAT test =/ Well, I take back the part about "the CT Council". There were barely ten CT Councillors there. Kevin, Jia Hui, Kai Xiang, Ashvin and I ended up helping with the moving. And the teacher coordinating the moving was, well, useless =/ Everyone was already tired from the moving and all he did was "oh, this row is not straight. Adjust it for me." By the time the moving was done, it was already about 11. Gerald joined us, Ashvin went home, and we rushed back to AHS via taxi. At least there were quite a few teachers around. We toured the staff room and talked with Ms Chan, Ms Lim, Mdm Sim, etc. Last stop: Tan Lao Shi. Hehe we actually chatted with her for about an hour or so. She talked non-stop about everything; the new principal, the education system, the canteen food, our "future plans", and suan-ed Kevin several times = Jiahui went home, and the rest of us spent the rest of the day wandering about Bugis (where Shimin joined us), and then Suntec (where we stopped for a break, and ate Ben & Jerry's) ... ![]() (Yeah, something like that. I don't have the exact pics) ... and finally Marina Square (where we met CP and her friends). There was this ice-cream store at Marina Square where the shopkeeper was missing. He did leave behind a sign (crudely drawn on foolscap paper) saying "Be back soon, Sorry for the inconvenience". Out came all the evil ideas of stealing the ice-cream, or even the cash register, and replying to the note on the sign, saying "it was no inconvenience; thanks for the ice-cream anyway!" We felt that it might be a trap though, like we might even up getting on the TV Programme called "Gotcha!", so we decided all we should do is look =P ![]() Yeah, looks soooo tempting at first right? By some of the colours of these ice-cream are... disgusting. Italian Coffee (bottom left) looks like "organic waste", and so did the Dark Chocolate (top left). The gooey thing at the top right is Green Tea. The second from the left on the bottom row (yes, the one that looks like bitumen, which is used to make roads) is Black Sesame. Anyway, it was weird yet cool how we are all connected to one another. Shimin, Shuqi, Gerald and I were from 2G 01/02, Kevin, Shuqi, Jiahui and KX were from 4L 03/04. KX, Gerald and I were from Scouts, Kevin and I were in the same class for the first 3 months last year, Gerald, Joy and Shuqi are all in the CT Council, and so on =P
