I went to my Grandpa's place on New Year's Eve, in the evening. It was for some... ceremony. Once every ten years, so obviously it was something significant. It's some religious thing, which I won't explain, and don't really know much about in the first place. It was pretty cool, there was even this huge roast pig. I mean it, it's beyond huge. It's probably longer than my TV >_>
It was interesting seeing how my dad and my three uncles work together. They had different leadership styles; one doesn't really have any idea of what's going on, another was much more authoritative, maybe a little excessively, my dad was the one passively doing the stuff, while the youngest one just seemed to be following instructions.
My Grandpa seemed to have lost a bit of hearing. My uncles seemed to have aged quite a bit. I guess time really flies :/
Hmmm. Speaking of that, it's now the last day of the holidays. I'm feeling apprehensive about the new sch year. Maybe it's because I don't know how it'll be like, with two new teachers for chem and econs, both of which are Interact Club teachers. Maybe it's the thought that I would have *gasp* juniors. Maybe it's the fact that it's my last year schooling before NS. *shrugs*
This two months were the weirdest holidays I've ever had. Straight after the real holidays started, after the Oral Presentation, I went to injure myself in a soccer game on 17 Nov. As a result, I missed a lot of stuff. No helping out at NPC, in which our Scouts obtained a commendable Gold Award; no regular soccer games; no mentoring sessions with my mentee... I also missed Inter-Club Day and some other Club activities. I couldn't watch King Kong and Goblet of Fire, and I might not even be able to catch Narnia and Wallace&Gromit ;[ (...and not to mention missing the soccer match against the sec 4s, in which they were hammered 8-0 with a crappy defence)
Instead, I spent the entire holiday period at home. I even *gasp* got tired of my computer games, and I ended up using mIRC! It wasn't any server with all the child molestors running amok, but a private one. Won't go into details here, but anyway I had quite a memorable two months there, so thanks all 8x
All the best for myself and everyone else for the new year ahead of us! ^_^
