Ytd was the PW OP "rehearsal" with Basil. It went okay, but I was a little soft, n spoke a little too fast. Den Q&A oso did quite well. But overall Basil only give 5/10, lol. Stiu need to improve a lot. Haiz.
After that slacked a while and watched the "EZ Link" group do their OP rehearsal, before going Parkway for lunch with Yao Min, Yelin n Qinghui. Ate Pastamania, cuz v long nv go le lol. The fat guy at the counter keep saying "Outstanding!", which reminds me of Dinesh, or whoever is the funny guy at our VLC earlier in the year. There were no spoons, and we had to eat with onli forks. YM was almost done wif his Creamy Chicken when the spoons were "out". Lol, Singapore's service industry T_T
But nothing can stop me from enjoying that plate of Chicken Sausage. Somemore this time one was extra spicy, so v nice. Only bad thing abt it was that there were so many more peas than usual =(
After lunch, went Popular to get cue cards, so OP that time can look more pro. After that went Marine Parade library with Yl, to find books on Black Holes. Lol, v chim, some of the books. Dunno what "mass of the galaxy" stuff. To quote some info from the internet (because I can't rmb the stuff from the books), here's an intro to Black Holes:
"A black hole is a region of spacetime from which nothing can escape, even light. To see why this happens, imagine throwing a tennis ball into the air. The harder you throw the tennis ball, the faster it is travelling when it leaves your hand and the higher the ball will go before turning back. If you throw it hard enough it will never return, the gravitational attraction will not be able to pull it back down. The velocity the ball must have to escape is known as the escape velocity and for the earth is about 7 miles a second. As a body is crushed into a smaller and smaller volume, the gravitational attraction increases, and hence the escape velocity gets bigger. Things have to be thrown harder and harder to escape. Eventually a point is reached when even light, which travels at 186 thousand miles a second, is not travelling fast enough to escape. At this point, nothing can get out as nothing can travel faster than light. This is a black hole."
