Todae was Soccer Mania. Ours was the 2nd set of games at 4.45pm, so we were able to watch a bit of soccer first. I was watching the Fmaths team against dunno wad other team. They weren't great players, but their keeper was great. In fact, the keeper looks so intimidating. Socks, shin guards, nice boots, jersey... I mean, he's wearing all these just to be a keeper!? Kinda lame. it makes him seem like he's going to war or something. He was solid throughout the match though, and I swear he's hidden a metal dustbin lid under his jersey for extra protection.
Anyway, shift the focus bac to my team, comprising of gerald, me, and zy n his classmates. We managed to play quite well IMO, n we weren't as outplayed as I tot we would be. Towards the end of the match, kean yip got a cut on his eyebrow. Bled a lot, n he was subbed for francis. We held on to draw 0-0. Then was the dreaded penalty shootout, which we lost in a rather unfair way. That's because of dumb refereeing. The guy obviously doesn't know soccer rules or sth liddat. Throughout the match, he didn't stop play no matter how many fouls were committed. N when a 2nd ball fell into our playing area, he went to pick up the ball himself, but didn't stop play at all! Back to the penalty shootout. The referee placed the ball on the ground, stepped back, but didn't blow his whistle. The opponent strolled up to the ball and hit it in. The goal counts. Wow. Zy wasn't even prepared, since the referee has not blown the whistle to allow the guy to take the penalty. And yet the goal counts. Wth. Then came the "finale". Daniel walked up, and scored a perfectly fine penalty, which was about the height of the cone. The referee says "goal". We heaved a sigh of relief. Then the opponent made some noise to the referee. Guess what he did? He asked the people watching the match (i.e. the supporters) whether it was a goal or not! I mean, when Liverpool scores, does the referee turn to Anfield and asks if it was a goal or not? Geez. So we lost on penalties. After that we went to find a clinic so we can stitch up the wound on Kean Yip's eyebrow. End up going home without any medical help, because every single clinic was closed. Slacking doctors man. Anw, going bac AHS for Founders' Day tml. So excited. Wahaha.
